If You Are Wealthy, Act Like It

If you are starting to make some nice money, you might want to show that. There is no reason you should not flaunt your riches a little bit, you have earned them through very hard work. If you are making good money and are wealthy, there is no reason that you should not behave yourself as if you are wealthy. There are ways to go about making sure other people know that you are wealthy once you have achieved that status. And it is not just the obvious things. Many people think that if they buy a fancy car, some expensive suits and eat at expensive restaurants that people will believe that they are wealthy, but that is not always the case.

If you are an intelligent rich person, then you work with your money and you manage it in a way in which you are displaying it and showing it off in a craft and wise way. If you are just flaunting it by buying things that you do not need, then you probably will not stay rich for to long.

So if you are making good money and you want to live like you are and show it off without spending it on dumb things, there are things that you can do.

Here’s one thing about picking up the tab. If you are really trying to give the appearance that you are wealthy, you are not going to do it by buying the entire bar a round. That is something a regular guy who won a couple thousand on a scratch off ticket would do. When you are taking out your wallet to pay for the tab, do it for people you actually care about and people who actually mean something to you. Go out with friends and family to a nice place and pick up the tab, that is how you will be remembered for your generosity and you will not come of as a fool that stumbled into some money, but rather, as a wealthy person who does not mind treating the people that he or she cares about.

In the same sense, taking part in philanthropy is a great thing to do as well to show that you are both a good person and a wealthy one. You can participate in scholarships, funds and various donations to both local and international causes. If you buy everyone a drink at the bar not many people will remember you, but if you pay for your town’s little league park to get renovated, people will hold your name in high regard for a very long time. Also, being a philanthropist gives you a chance to write all of these donations off on your taxes, which is an added bonus.

If you are going to have people believe that you are worth a bunch of money, you are going to have to start hanging out with the wealthy as well. That does not mean that you have to abandon all of your all friends, but you will have to make some new ones as well. It should not just be pointless networking, it should be schmoozing with the right people. You should be hanging out with the elite in your community and try to become part of their clique. A good way to do that is to join local country clubs or to start playing golf at the same club that all of these people play. This is also a good way to make money, because knowing people who know how to make money and where the money is going to be, is always a great way to get to more. So go out to these country clubs, wineries, cigar lounges, you know, where the rich like to hang out, and start meeting new people and getting to know them.

If you are looking to not only appear wealthy for a period of time, but actually remain wealthy for a ling while, then you are going to have to make moves and not get lazy. It is important to always be looking for the next big opportunity. Perhaps there is a new location in town that would be a perfect real estate venture – you need to be up on that. Do not just sit back and get fat on your porch, you need to keep making money in order to stay in the community of rich people. Most wealthy people are always interested in making even more money and in order to fit in with them and look like one of them, you are going to have to think in the same way as well. Knowing what will make you money is not really some sixth sense as some people make it out to be, the only way you will know how to recognize a good opportunity is if you study up on it. You need to always be looking into all of the latest trends, following the markets, and keeping up to date with what is going on around you.

And that is another thing that is important. When you were not making a lot of money, and when you were just starting, then you had to do everything on your own. Now that you have money, you can hire people to do some things for you, you do not have to go about everything on your own. You need to be able to delegate, because there is no better way to show that you have money than by having people on your payroll and being someone’s boss. If you are able to pay them, that means that you naturally have a lot more money than they do. You need to learn how to find good people and how to delegate tasks that will make your life easier while you still continue to prosper and take your business ventures into new and exiting territories. You will save a lot of time and you will be more productive when you have a team working for you. Of course, you will still be making the decision, but it never hurts to have a team of professionals doing the leg work for you.
